Simple Wood Gasifier
The US Government published a Manual that supplies the enthusiastic Environmentalist with all the information required, plus drawings and a list of materials to build a small scale wood gasifier, this could be used in times of Petroleum shortage or other emergency's to make gas to fuel a Tractor or a Generator. All the components are readily available, although some mechanical engineering ability is required.
I intend to construct a gasifier to fuel a generator making use of waste products as my primary fuel supply.
